The 2013 Tax Free Weekend Missouri takes place during the three-day period beginning at 12:01 a.m. on the first Friday in August and ending at midnight on the Sunday following. So that means the Missouri tax free weekend 2013 will be held from August 2-4. During this time certain back-to-school purchases, such as clothing, school supplies, computers, and other items as defined by the statute, are exempt from sales tax for this Missouri sales tax holiday.
The Missouri Tax Free Weekend is arguably the best time during the entire year to purchase items such as clothing, computers, etc that are included in the allowed purchases. Many people purposely wait until the tax free weekend to make their purchases, which also leads to some busy stores and shopping malls in all across Missouri! Our best advise is to get there as early as possible when the tax free savings begin. Some stores will be open at midnight on the first night, so make sure you know what you want, who sales it, and when they will be open. Don’t be surprised if items are sold out or picked over as the weekend comes to a close.
